Jacob Alexander Crenshaw was born in Asheville, NC, on October 8, 1998. When he was young, he moved with his family to Rhode Island and was a longtime resident of Pawtucket. Sadly, he died unexpectedly on Friday, August 18, 2023.

Jacob graduated in 2016 from Davies Technical School, specializing in culinary arts. He further developed his culinary skills from high school through baking, working a line, and experimenting with new flavors in the kitchen at home. After a few years, Jacob decided to switch gears in his career, follow in his brother Andrew's footsteps, and become a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter with Encore Fire Protection. Initially, he was an apprentice and worked alongside his brother Andrew. Jake worked full-time and attended school at night to earn his license. During his five years with Encore, Jacob was known to dedicate himself to excellence and quickly rose in the ranks. Recently, Jacob became a foreman and began running his own job sites. He was so proud of himself.

Jacob was passionate about so many things, from homemade whiskey, hunting, farming flower, cooking, country music, fishing, hand-blown glass, firearms, Harleys, Volkswagens, and all things mechanical – a true motorhead. He dedicated himself to what mattered most, learning everything about subjects that
interested him. On any day after work, he could be found listening to Big 103 and engaging in a deep backhouse discussion about proper distillation, new recipes in the testing stage, or the logistics of the current job site. Jacob was a Van's sneakerhead who showed love through meals made for found family on Sundays. Jacob was incredibly close to a friend group that started in elementary school. He was a true ride-or-die friend. Jake wasn't afraid to get dirty and was so silly, quick to tilt his head and smile at you with that spark in his eyes. He worked hard and played hard. He was devoted to his puppy Hank Williams, Jr., who is the offspring of big brother Andrew's dog, Simba.

Jacob is survived by his cherished pup Hank Williams, Jr.; loving mother Erin Dooley Denton; fathers Paul Denton and Christopher Crenshaw; beloved brothers Andrew, Allen, and Jefferson Crenshaw; stepsister Skylar Crenshaw; maternal grandmother Jacqueline Daley; paternal grandmother (Ya-ya) Patricia Crenshaw; maternal aunts Melissa and Kelly Sullivan; maternal uncles Adam Dooley, Shawn and Christopher Sullivan; paternal uncle Allen Crenshaw; paternal nephew Adrian Crenshaw; maternal cousins Jamie Baker, AJ Brousseau, Starlyn and Leo Laparade III, Jaiden, Deliah, and Adeldee Sullivan. He also leaves behind numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29th 2023 from 4pm-7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln. Burial private.
